Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), circa 1900).

Climber, Hybrid Multiflora.  
Bloom:
Red.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, semi-double to double, in small clusters, flat bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing, spreading.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 2b through 8b.  Can be used for garden or landscape.  Very hardy.  very vigorous.  Prune after flowering is finished.
