Bloom:
Carmine-pink, orange-red shading, copper , ages to light pink . Carmine, shaded with orange-scarlet, yellow centre. Moderate fragrance. 5 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Tall, upright.
Height: 30" to 4' (75 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer. Does not do well in warmer climates. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
