Origin:

Bred by Pierre Guillot (1855-1918) (France, 1882).
Introduced in France by Guillot/Roseraies Pierre Guillot in 1885 as 'Gloire Lyonnaise'.
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Gloire Lyonnaise'.

Class:

Hybrid Perpetual, Hybrid Tea.

Bloom:

Cream, light yellow shading, darker center. Moderate, tea fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.

Habit:

Few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.

Height: 3' to 6' (90 to 185cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 4b and warmer. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. Prune lightly or not at all.
