Bred by Welter & Hinner (Germany, 1899).
Introduced in Luxembourg by Ketten Frères/Bros./Gebrüder in 1899 as 'Johannes Wesselhöft'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Light yellow, ages to lighter .  Sulphur-yellow.  Strong fragrance.  Medium to large, semi-double to double bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Johannes Wesselhöft was a celebrated rosarian, head gardener, teacher, nursery owner in Langensalza/Germany and author of the book "Der Rosenfreund", published 1873.
