Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, before 1952).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1955 as 'Flammentanz'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Rubiginosa, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 9'10" to 16'5" (300 to 500cm).  Width: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5a through 9b.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape or pillar.  Very hardy.  very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very blackspot resistant..
