Medium red Shrub. Registration name: Maude Elizabeth Exhibition name: Maude Elizabeth
Bloom:
Red. None to mild fragrance. Average diameter 3.25". Small, single (4-8 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Short, bushy, compact, spreading. Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 3' (90cm). Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, garden or ground cover. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Peter Beales donated a rose to benefit BBC Radio Norfolk's November's Children in Need appeal day. Cyril Bunch pledged 5,100 Pounds for the rose to be named Maude Elizabeth after his late wife. 'Maude Elizabeth' will be launched at the Royal Norfolk Show in the summer of 2000.
