Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1915).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1915 as 'Ruby Ring'.
Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Ruby-red, white center.  Average diameter 1.75".  Small, single to semi-double, cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Glossy foliage.  

Height: up to 6'7" (up to 200cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for hedge or pillar.  Very vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Sangerhausen describes the color of the bloom as carmine-red with white.
