Origin:
Bred by Mathias Tantau (1882 - 1953) (Germany, before 1936).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1938 as 'Elite'.
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1941 as 'Elite'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Salmon-pink, orange highlights.  Mild fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Tall, upright.  Light green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6a through 9b.  Hardy.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Possibly a sister seedling of 'Tarantella'
