Yellow blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Amelia Earhart (Hybrid Tea, Reymond, 1929)
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, deep yellow center, orange-pink shading, golden-yellow reverse. Strong fragrance. 100 petals. Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.
Height: up to 5' (up to 150cm). Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b. Vigorous. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Arena Rose Co. says Amelia Earhart has huge buds that open creamy yellow flushed with pink at the center... Different opinions on pollen parent. The addition of 'Paul Neyron' is probably a misunderstanding. The original description says "as large as Paul Neyron".
