ARS:
Light yellow Hybrid Tea. Registration name: Eclipse (hybrid tea, Nicolas 1932)
Bloom:
Golden-yellow to cream, red shading, ages to white. Reddish filaments, smooth pedicel, pear-shaped hips. Moderate fragrance. 25 to 30 petals. Very large, very double, cupped, open bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Bushy. Dark green, leathery foliage.
Height: 42" to 5' (105 to 150cm). Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
Notes:
'Eclipse' first bloomed on the day of a solar eclipse on 31 August 1932, hence its name.
