Origin:
Bred by François Lacharme (France, 1857).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1863 as 'Anna de Diesbach'.
Introduced in Australia by Charles Wyatt, Frogmore Nursery in 1868 as 'Gloire de Paris'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Carmine-pink, silver(y) shading, carmine-red highlights.  Strong fragrance.  40 petals.  Average diameter 3.25".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall.  

Height: 4' to 6'7" (120 to 200cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Vigorous.  Prune after flowering is finished.
