Origin:
Bred by Marie-Louise (Louisette) Meilland (Paolino) (1920-1987) (France, before 1956).
Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1957 as 'Cocktail'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1959 as 'Cocktail'.
Class:
Floribunda, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Geranium-red, carmine-red shading, light yellow center, ages to red .  Mild, spice fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Small to medium, single (4-8 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Glossy, leathery foliage.  

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer.  Can be used for garden.  Can be grown as a shrub.  can be trained as a climber.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
