Introduced in United States by Germain's (Germain Seed & Plant Co.) in 1957 as 'Chrysler Imperial, Cl.'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1961 as 'Chrysler Imperial, Cl.'.

Bloom:
Crimson.  Mild, centifolia fragrance.  33 to 48 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, high-centered to cupped bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Medium buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, climbing.  Medium, semi-glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 15' (455cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
