Origin:
Discovered by Thomas Edison Motose (United States, before 1955).
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, white streaks, stripes, flecks.  Flowers carmin, occasionally streaked white.  Moderate fragrance.  15 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Compact, no prickles.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
