Bloom:
Rose-pink, yellow stamens. Mild to strong fragrance. 35 petals. Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns. Glossy foliage.
Height: 39" to 6'7" (100 to 200cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden. Hardy. vigorous. shade tolerant. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Cut back one-half every year..
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Recent DNA analysis has shown that 'Hermosa' is not one parents of 'Champion of the World', but 'Rose Edoard' might be.- see References. See also 'Mrs. DeGraw' which has been touted as a synonym of 'Champion of the World'
