Meilland et Cie (see) was firmed to Meilland International around 1997. [From Impressionist Roses, by Derek Fell, 1999, p. 12:] with headquarters at Antibes, on the Mediterranean coast, the Meillands were the source of many roses planted and painted by Renoir, whose house and garden still survives in that region.
