Nursery established 1875 by Hens A. Verschuren. In 1919 succeeded by his sons Jacques, Toon and Hens Verschuren Jr.. The Company split in 1931 with Jacques Verschuren establishing the Company Jac. Verschuren-Pechtold bv.

Verschuren, Henricus Antonie, 1844-1918. (1) founded the firm in Haps, Netherlands. Three of his five sons remained with the firm, the Name of which was changed to H. A. Verschuren en Zonen; (2) Jacques (1884-1946); (3) Antonie (1884-1920); (4) Hens A. (1885-1947). (5) Andries [b. August 4, 1891] and (6) Bernard each began their own nurseries, which they later merged as
Verschurens Vereinigde Rozenkwekerijen in Haps. (2) Jacques left, and in 1930 founded his own firm under the Name
Jac Verschuren-Pechtold in Haps. His son (7) H. A. M. Verschuren is also a hybridizer. After the death of (3) Antonie and the Resignation of (2) Jacques, Hens A. Verschuren carried on with the old firm under its original name. Today, his sons (8) Henricus Anton (born 1925) and (9) Theod. Franciscus (born 1931), manage the firm.
