Notes:
Commemorative hybrid tea rose in honor of the late Pope John Paul II. The luminous, pure white rose with a crisp refreshing fragrance was specifically chosen by the Vatican to honor John Paul II and will be planted this year in the Vatican gardens overlooking Saint Peter’s Basilica. Ten percent of the net proceeds from the sale of each rose will be put at the disposal of Vatican City, which has informed Jackson & Perkins that it will donate these funds to a charity benefiting the poor of Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Pope John Paul II Rose joins a significant list of commemorative cause roses that honor prominent leaders and organizations with support for a designated charitable activity. Jackson & Perkins® Cause Roses include those named for Diana, Princess of Wales, Veterans’ Honor, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan.
