Elko County Rose Garden
HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

We do not have ANY photos of this Garden!

If you have an appropriate photo, please share it with HelpMeFind - see the UPLOAD PHOTO button on the Photos tab.

Please do not upload someone else's photos without their permission. Thanks!

The Elko County Rose Garden is located in Elko, Nevada, behind the Elko County Courthouse at the corner of 6th and Pine Streets. The primary objective it to create a garden that includes winter hardy, easy care roses, especially those varieties that thrive without winter protection in Elko's climate (USDA Zone 5). Every year, fifty winter-hardy varieties will be added. For the year 2000, roses hybridized by Dr. Griffith Buck have been selected. Next year's roses will come from Canadian breeders. There is a ten-year plan to add roses from breeders in Germany, France, Scandinavia, the USA, UK, species roses, and roses from other countries as well as old roses of unknown origin. The garden was designed, established, and maintained by the Elko Rose Garden Association whose President is Dan Turner (that's his email address above). The garden is entirely supported by donations.
