Introduced by George Forrest in 1912 as 'C. napaulensis'.

Early Small Flowered, Evergreen, Group 1.  
Bloom:
White, yellow , purple stamens, purple veining.  4 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Single, bell-shaped, clusters, nodding bloom form.  Midwinter to early spring.  
Habit:

Height: up to 25' (up to 760cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b.  Needs a warm, frost-free situation.  sheltered.  No pruning required.
