Origin:
Bred by Brother Stefan Franczak (Poland, 1990).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Fisk's Clematis Nursery as 'Monte Cassino'.
Class:
Early Large Flowered.  
Bloom:
Red.  6 petals.  Average diameter 8".  Single, overlapping, scalloped edge bloom form.  Late spring to early summer, mid-to-late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 8b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
