Origin:
Bred by Walter Pennell (United Kingdom, circa 1956).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Pennell & Sons Nursery in 1968 as 'John Warren'.
Class:
Early Large Flowered.  
Bloom:
Pink, darker edges, deep pink center.  6 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 9".  Single bloom form.  Late spring to early summer, late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  sheltered.  Suitable for growing in a container.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
